About

A browser behind an API, for software that needs to read the web

domscout renders web pages in real Chromium and returns what software needs from them: Markdown for a model, DOM data for an agent, and an image or PDF as proof of what the browser saw.

Who runs it

domscout is built and operated by an individual. It is not a registered company, and the terms say so too. Questions, bugs and billing all go to one address: support@domscout.io.

Two ways to use it

A REST API described by an OpenAPI contract, and an MCP server that exposes the same API as tools in Claude, Cursor or VS Code. The MCP server is open source on GitHub and published on npm as @domscout/mcp.

How it is priced

By the capture, in credits, not by the minute of browser time: a basic capture is 1 credit and no request costs more than 10. The Hobby plan is free, gives 100 credits a month, and can never be charged. Paid plans meter usage past their quota but stop at 2x, so a runaway script cannot run up an open-ended bill, and a request that fails is refunded. The pricing page has the details.

Claims you can check

Every Markdown extraction reports its own token estimate, so you measure the result on your pages instead of trusting an average quoted here. Competitor prices on the comparison page carry the date they were read, and that page lists what domscout cannot do as plainly as what it can.
