XML sitemap checker
Paste a sitemap or a sitemap index and see which entries Google would refuse or ignore, and on which line.
Checked in your browser as you type. Nothing you paste is sent to domscout. Open your sitemap (usually /sitemap.xml), view its source and copy everything.
Error (line 7) - An & in this URL is not escaped. Write it as &.
Warning (line 7) - lastmod "01/10/2026" is not a W3C date such as 2026-10-20 or 2026-10-20T09:30:00+00:00.
Note - Google ignores <changefreq> and <priority>. They do no harm, and an accurate <lastmod> is what it reads.

A sitemap is a list, not a guarantee
Google treats a sitemap as a hint about which URLs exist. A listed page that redirects, answers with an error, carries noindex or names another canonical will not be indexed because it is listed.
Comparing the sitemap with the pages the site actually links to finds both kinds of gap: pages nothing links to, and pages the sitemap forgot. Find all pages on a site.
